After losing my memory, I ended up marrying my archrival Chapter 1

Chapter 01
Chapter 01
*
After being unconscious for days, there were things I simply couldn’t recall.

My mother told me she’d agreed to let me marry Prince Lin.

I frowned slightly. “But the one I want to marry is Prince Yan.”

Mother was stunned. “Yun’er, are you sure it’s Prince Yan and not Prince Lin?”

I answered firmly, “I’m sure.”

Even though I couldn’t remember our past, my mind was filled with thoughts of Yan. I must have really liked him—so much so that even after days of unconsciousness, I was still thinking about him.

It’s a pity I forgot our story.

But even if I forgot, shouldn’t Prince Yan have come to see me? Did he have his reasons for staying away?

If the mountain won’t come to me, I’ll go to the mountain.

Standing in the courtyard of Prince Yan’s residence, I waited patiently.

The footsteps approaching were light. I looked up.

He wore a robe the color of moonlight, tall and elegant, with striking features.

I was certain—I liked this face.

He stopped, silent.

I gave myself a pep talk. “Your Highness, let’s get married!”

Jiang Rui seemed taken aback, surprise written all over his face.

Was I being too forward?

I nervously twisted the corner of my sleeve.

“Are you sure you don’t want to marry Prince Lin?” Jiang Rui’s expression was complicated.

I grew anxious. “Why mention him? The one I like is you.”

Why did everyone think I liked Prince Lin?

I recalled the plain face I saw when I first woke up, and then looked at the man before me. No matter how blind I was, I wouldn’t mistake the two. “If you don’t agree, I’ll cry!”

Jiang Rui’s lips curled up. “If you want to marry me, then marry me. I never said no. Why cry?”

Hearing his words, I swallowed my tears.

My heart overflowed with sweetness. He must really love me—he couldn’t bear to see me cry.

When I tried to hold his hand before leaving, he worried about my reputation.

“Be good, go home first. In a few days, I’ll come to propose.”

“Sign this first.” Jiang Rui quickly drafted a letter.

I glanced at it, shocked. I couldn’t understand it.

My confusion must have shown.

Jiang Rui had to explain, “It’s a ‘No Regrets’ promise.”

Embarrassed, I playfully hit his chest. “You’re so annoying! Why would I regret it?”

I was too happy to even think of regret.

Jiang Rui watched me leave, and I looked back at every step.

He smiled so brightly. We really were in love.
